Covid-19 Policies

Proof of Vaccination Status

At the Welcome Table, registrants will be required to provide proof of vaccination status and photo ID before they are allowed entrance into the conference rooms. Delegates must have at least two doses of a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine.

  • For B.C. residents, please provide your vaccine card QR code for scanning
  • For out-of-province delegates, please provide equivalent official documentation

Your conference badge/lanyard serves as confirmation of your vaccination status; please keep this on whilst attending the conference, so you do not need to have your vaccination card checked again.

Personal Interactions

At the Welcome Table we will affix one of three colour-coded stickers to your conference badge, which will communicate your level of comfort regarding physical interactions with other delegates:

  • Red: No physical contact; please maintain distance
  • Yellow: Fist-bumps and handshakes are allowed
  • Blue: Hugging is allowed

Masks

In accordance with British Columbia’s Provincial Health Order, face coverings (a medical or non-medical mask covering the nose and mouth) must be worn at all times during the conference.

  • Masks should be worn by speakers when presenting; microphones will be provided (please see the presenter info document)
  • Masks can be taken off when eating or drinking
  • A clear face shield is not an approved substitute for a mask

Delegates will be provided with a complimentary N95-style mask at the Welcome Desk.

Sanitation

Hand sanitizers will be available at speaker podiums, food & beverage stations, exhibitor tables, and throughout the conference venue.

Other Information

Coat Check

A coat room is available to use near where the poster boards and exhibitor booths are located. It will not be staffed, so please keep your valuables with you.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding rooms are available; please see the hotel front desk for directions and a key.

Dietary Restrictions

If you have indicated you have a dietary restriction or food allergy on your registration form, your meals will be available and distributed at a specific station during lunch and dinner service. Please ask the hotel’s food & beverage staff where to find your meals.
